There are a lot of things that I want to do in my life. Two of my dreams is to travel around the world and to experience Helicopter Tours. Every time I see a helicopter even in movies, it always fascinates me and think that one day I will be riding that. I think it is so much fun riding especially when you are with your loved us. I plan one day I will treat myself and family with that elating rides. If that happens it would be our first time. I can’t wait for that dream to come into reality.

In my field of work, I usually get tired almost after every shift. Delivering babies is not easy. It takes all your energy especially when births have complications. I always remember, I don’t have to take fatigue lying down. There are many ways I can fight back: Eat a balanced diet. Get enough sleep as possible. Exercise regularly by walking or jogging each day. Have a positive attitude. And take multivitamins daily. It won’t just get me back on my feet. It made me feel like the world is at my feet.

When I was in high school, I really wanted to enrol in martial arts because I wanted to become a black belter. One of the things that interest me about it is the Martial Arts Gear and uniform. When I told my parents about it they were not happy. I understood though because it would mean that they need to pay another expenses. Even it is not that expensive, it would be an additional burden for my parents because I also have younger siblings that were in school. I am glad though that my younger brother enrolled in martial arts during summer.

Today I was reading my devotional book. The text is in Psalm 31:24; 32:8-9. It reminded me that I must be brave enough to face up the changes in my life, whatever they may be. It may be a change for the worse at times; at other times a change for the better. Either situation may be difficult to deal with in my own small strength. I do not fear because God is always by my side. He the strength in my weakness. There is always safety and comfort in Him.

Just few months ago I started to be interested about blogging. I really had fun with it. It did not just enhance by writing ability but I gained friends and at the same time I earn. I learn a lot from it but I think I still need to learn more and more about it. I wanted to find out more on how to design and improve my blog. This is a picture of my dear friend’s thumb that I sutured two years ago. She cut her thumb by opening a can. It bled a lot. They were about to go to the hospital but her mom told her that I will be the one to suture her. They went to the clinic where I worked. I was scared and worried but I just did not let it show because she was so scared and so pale. It was very hard in my part because I am not used to suture someone close to me. I sutured many times but that was the scariest. I just didn’t want to hurt my friend though I gave anesthesia. Anyways, both of us survived with that situation. We are so glad that it healed well and it did not have any scar.

Computers and technology is already part of our lives. It became a very important part in my life especially when my sister gave me laptop computer as her gift. I can do almost everything with it. Most of all my family and my sisters abroad are able to communicate with them and see them face to face with PCI video adapters. I am very grateful of the high technology communication. It brings us closer together. There are times though that we were cut off in the middle of our talking due to problems like. These days I am reminded that clear communication is very important. It is vital for us to really know the real meaning of what people are telling us because if not we may interpret it differently. Sometimes we get hurt by what we think about the meaning of the words but when we open our hearts and think it in a positive way it will be easier to forgive and understand each other.That is the reason in every aspect clear communication is needed to have a healthy relationship with each other.

My sister is working overseas as a restaurant host in one of the largest restaurant in that country. We really miss her that is why we are communicating with her through international calling cards. It is so nice to hear her voice and catch up with what is going on in her life with a minimal charge of the call. With that we can call her more often than usual. There were times that she was the one calling us. Though we are far apart through the technology and affordable calling cards, it brings our family closer and reconnects our lives.

One of the new year’s resolution is to read my bible daily with the goal of reading the whole bible for one year. I have a Walk Thru the bible. It has a corresponding chapters what to read each day. I confess that sometimes I failed but I am trying to cope it up the following days. Today in my quiet time, I was reminded that true prayer is a way of life, not just an emergency detour. It’s humbling thing to acknowledge that we cannot solve our own problems- but when we let God be your problem solver, don’t be surprised if we see enemies flee and fireworks begin.

The brother of my friend is a policeman. I really appreciate him. It is not easy to have that vocation. Every single minute they are facing danger because they want to make sure of the peace and order in our community. I really like to see them in their uniforms while doing thier tactical. I salute them.

Today in church, I didn’t help my tears from coming out. It was tears of joy and relief. I have an aunt who went away and left her family for a while. We were worried for their family. I felt the hurts her children feel about the situation. I personally was praying for her that God will touch her heart and to come back home. Two weeks ago she went back home for good. It made us all so happy. Today the whole family rendered a special song in the church entitled “Sheltered in the arms of God”. I just didn’t understand myself why my tears kept on coming out while listening to them. I felt so happy for them. I was so touched and I pray that they will continue to serve the Lord as a family. I was not the only one who cried but I think almost everyone in the congregation cried too. Tears of joy. To God be the glory.

There is no place like home. Home is one of the most important part of our lives. It is the place where we can find comfort after our long day at work or school. It is the place where family get together. Everyone wants to make our respective houses a wonderful place. Today I went to the church. I found the sermon very interesting and it is really a practical one. The pastor talked about the the structuure of a family. It emphasized how important family is as a basic unit in the community. The parents are the authorities in the family over the children not reverse. The bible reminded us that parents should train up the child the he should go so when he is old he will not depart from it. Children should obey their parents for this the right thing to do.

In my field of practice as a nurse-midwife, I have been caring for pregnant women and delivering babies.
