Last night my cousin Langlang and her son slept over at our house. Her son U One is one and four months old. Before Langlang went to sleep,  she checked and changed his diaper because it was already full and . He has his disposable diaper on for about 8 hours. The whole night U One slept well without any interruptions.

I am so happy today because the friendship I have with the sister of my best friend that I thought was broken, it is now restored. I thought that it will not resolve since she was so mad at me. I understood her. She thought that I betrayed her but I did not. I just did the thing that I think would help her and her family. She called me and told me all the worst things that one could ever hear. I asked her to forgive me because I divulged her problem to her sister. I did it because her family does not have any idea about her problem. She planned to leave her husband. To my surprise she texted me and called me asking for forgiveness. She said that she is thankful for what I have done. It helped her to let her family know what she is going through. She really had a hard time opening up with her family even just little thing. My best friend told me that for the first time in 30 years her sister opened up to them and was crying while telling them what is going on in her life. I am so touched even I was hurt that it turned out something good happened. All things work together for good. God really answers prayers.

Yesterday I started not to get well. I thought I just had a allergic reactions from eating seafoods. I usually have runny nose, teary eyes and sneezing frequently. I took my antihistamine medications but it did not work. Today I realized it is not just a typical allergy but I think I do have a cold. My nose is always running and I am experiencing body malaise. It is not fun. Hopefully it will be gone soon.

I am so frustrated when I learned that my dad returned to his old smoking habit. He stopped smoking after he was being sick and was in the hospital for how many days. He was diagnosed of having Pneumonia and enlargement of the heart. The x-ray result his left lung was filled with mucus or phlegm that the lung was not already seen. He stopped smoking for 5 months. I did all the best to support him during those times. I was providing him with candies, gum and etc. I can’t help but be depressed and feel like the world crushed down on me. I do not want my dad to be sick again. I saw what he went through during those times. He din’t breath well because of chest pain, didn’t sleep well lying down. Even just to sneeze he had chest pain.

In this picture, I am reminded of my best friend who already went back home in Canada. I really miss her. I really treasure and cherish our friendship. We really had great times together. We deliver babies together, visiting patients together and had crazy birth shifts together. We love to laugh even in the tiniest things. Our memories are like diamonds they are forever. Even though we are far from each other, we are still communicating through phone calls, emails and Facebook.

There was a time that my friend told me that I am becoming high tech for almost having all the latest gadgets. It is very nice of my sisters who are blessing me with those. I do have the full-sized SD card. The latest and the smallest mobile flash memory card called the micro sd  is already out in the market.

There are a lot of things that I really wanted to do or experience. One of them is to do horse back riding. I really appreciate those ladies who are riding horses with all their attire. The Equestrian Corner have various apparel style with their equestrian clothing. I can not wait to experience it. It would be very fun and exciting.

The other night was my last birth shift. It seemed like the patients wants to say goodbye to me, so they all came in my shift. We had a very long night shift. There were 2 babies born, the other one was transported to the hospital for Respiratory Distress. We also had complicated postpartum patients and we sutured 3 patients. That shift it seemed like it took forever. We got to rest hours of rest then back to work again and prepared for endorsement. I am so thankful that shifts will always end. I was able to sleep the following day.

I really thank God for the wisdom he gave me helping our patient. We had a patient who was in labor for a long time. Normally, the normal labor pattern, the patient should progress one centimetres every hour. Our patient was 6cm dilated (10 cm cervical dilation they are allowed to push) only progressed 2 cm for almost 12 hours. So we are already planning to transport her. But before that I did AROM ( artificial rupture of membranes) sometimes it helps the baby’s head to descend and open the cervix more. Thankfully, after AROM, she was already almost 10 cm and had the urge to push, so I let her push. She had a hard time pushing her baby’s head. Finally, about more than an hour of pushing, her baby came out. Everyone was so happy. Both of the couple cried. To God be the glory.
