Lately, I am worrying about my future. I came to the point that it seems I am not sure what my future will be. Sometimes I doubt God’s promises for giving me a future full of hope. As human as I am, I can’t help to worry. It is good to be reminded by his words to not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about its own things. It helps me go in the right track. There were so many times in the past that I worry a lot about things but when it came, I realized that I just worrying for nothing. It always turned out to be less than I expected things to happen. I love reading and writing. I used to read novels when I was in high school. When we were still young we lived in the country side and the electricity is not that good. When there were black outs, I used candle in order for me to read and do my home works. My mom always told me not to read novels when the light is off. She always reminded us to take care of our eyes. Four of my sisters are wearing glasses. I was the last one who needs one. Three years ago, I went to the optometrist for an eye check-up. I was prescribed with eyeglasses. The doctor told me need of it so that my eyes will not work so hard to read of to see things clearly. During the Miss Universe 2008 held at NHA TRANG, Vietnam was a successful event.
The evening was filled with surprises, including a runway tumble by Miss USA Crystle Stewart of Texas. She tripped on the train of her formal evening gown.
For the second year in a row, Miss USA has fallen down during the evening gown competition at the Miss Universe competition.

It was a nightmare come true for Miss USA Crystle Stewart, a Texan, who tripped on the train of her bejeweled evening gown as she made her entrance.

During the 2007 Miss Universe contest in Mexico City, Miss USA Rachel Smith also tumbled during the evening gown competition and became an unintended star on You Tube, where the video was shown over and over again.

Like Smith, Stewart quickly stood up after her fall and continued on as if nothing had happened. I really appreciate her courage to continue on after what had happened.

Dayana Sabrina Mendoza Moncada, 22 y.o, on born June 1, 1986 in Caracas, Venezuela, is a model and newly crowned Miss Venezuela 2007 and Miss Universe 2008. On 2001 Mendoza signed with Elite Model Management and modelled in Italy, France, United States, England, Greece, Spain, Germany, Mexico and Peru for Versace, Roberto Cavalli and other fashion designers. Speaks Spanish, English, and Italian. Dayana beat out 27 other candidates to win Miss Venezuela 2007 on September 13, 2007, and became the only the second woman representing the Amazons state to win (the first being Carolina Izsak in 1991. She was crowned Miss Universe 2008 at the pageant in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 13, 2008. Unfortunately, she was a kidnap victim in her country as what it was called an express kidnapped. She was captured for only 4 hours but was released. This incident happened a year and a half ago.

It is sad to know that Miss Kosovo, Miss Spain, Miss USA, Miss Italy and Miss Australia did not make it to the top 5.

I really had fun watching the Miss Universe 2008 this morning. I think all of the contestants were all pretty. I really admired Miss Venezuela how she answered the final question. She answered it so well. She is very beautiful.
Miss Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza was crowned as 2008 Miss Universe. The statuesque beauty beat out 79 other contestants to bring home the crown. She is the 57th reigning Miss Universe.

This is the first Miss Universe contest that was broadcast in 1080i high definition.

One of the things I treasure of is my laptop. It was given to me by my sister as a gift. She is my wishing star. It is so nice of her. God bless her heart. I will treasure it as long as I live. I always take care of it. I make sure that I use HDMI cable to prevent my computer against electrical fire and electrocution.

This is one of the crazy things we do in the birth room when we have no patients. These are my friends and co-midwives. They were supporting me not to fall. It was so fun.
