This is my sky watch Friday entry this week. This picture is one of my collections of sky pictures. Even before I joined sky watch Friday, I already have collected photos of the sunrise, sunset, and blue sky. I was so glad I found sky watch Friday. I am excited to share my entries and see others entries.

It is biblical that when we have a chance we do good to all. When everyone is doing it, our world will become a very good place to live in. Even in just a little act of kindness let us do it to anyone. Doing good is an opportunity we can give to someone. We should not tire of doing little things for others, sometimes those little things occupy the biggest part in their hearts. It will not only let other people happy but it will give us joy beyond compare. If you want to be happy start doing little things for others.

A newly born baby delivered at home. He is my cousin’s son. I was her midwife. She had a long labor and delivery but everything went well by God’s grace. He is very cute. He is now 1 year and 5 months. It feels so great to be there with them when he came out.

I volunteered myself to be watch my uncle in the hospital. I thank God that he is already stable. He is already on diet as tolerated. I did some make-over to him. lol! He still has some blood sticked to his ears, legs, and in nail beds. I did cut his fingernails in hands and in feet. I sponge bath him and scrubbed off the blood stuck in his fingers. I disinfected his mattress. I assisted him by with eating. I Discarded the urine output in the urinary bag. We did have a wonderful talk. I had a great time helping him. It was the first time that I serve my uncle fully.

4 days ago, we were shocked to know that our uncle had a motorcycle accident. He was by a motorcycle. It was the neglient of the driver who hit him. My uncle was riding his bicycle and was hit by the fast running motorcycle. We found out the the driver was drunk and was over speeding. My uncle had a diagnosis of : Multiple rib fracture with femur fracture. We were so scared about it. He was in the ICU for 3 days. He undergone an operation and had blood transfusion. Thanks the Lord, now he is already stable. He still pale but very coherent. Has a good appetite. Hopefully he will recover very well. We are glad the driver who hit him helped in the hospital expenses.

I always keep all the letters I received especially from my ever dearest friend. This is one of them a birthday cards for me. She reminded me not to forget that God is able to do more far more for me than I ever could do for myself or that I could ever ask him for. I really love my friend. I am so grateful to God for our friendship.

Today we went to our church for our Saturday prayer meeting. My uncle was the one who was assigned to share God’s word. I was reminded with the one verse he shared. He shared a verse in Matthew 4:4, it says, ” the man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” It reminds me that we will not just concern about nourishing our bodies with food but we must be concern on nourishing our souls with words of God by reading the bible, praying, listening to sermons, and quiet time with the Lord.

I am so happy today because the friendship I have with the sister of my best friend that I thought was broken, it is now restored. I thought that it will not resolve since she was so mad at me. I understood her. She thought that I betrayed her but I did not. I just did the thing that I think would help her and her family. She called me and told me all the worst things that one could ever hear. I asked her to forgive me because I divulged her problem to her sister. I did it because her family does not have any idea about her problem. She planned to leave her husband. To my surprise she texted me and called me asking for forgiveness. She said that she is thankful for what I have done. It helped her to let her family know what she is going through. She really had a hard time opening up with her family even just little thing. My best friend told me that for the first time in 30 years her sister opened up to them and was crying while telling them what is going on in her life. I am so touched even I was hurt that it turned out something good happened. All things work together for good. God really answers prayers.

Yesterday I started not to get well. I thought I just had a allergic reactions from eating seafoods. I usually have runny nose, teary eyes and sneezing frequently. I took my antihistamine medications but it did not work. Today I realized it is not just a typical allergy but I think I do have a cold. My nose is always running and I am experiencing body malaise. It is not fun. Hopefully it will be gone soon.

In this picture, I am reminded of my best friend who already went back home in Canada. I really miss her. I really treasure and cherish our friendship. We really had great times together. We deliver babies together, visiting patients together and had crazy birth shifts together. We love to laugh even in the tiniest things. Our memories are like diamonds they are forever. Even though we are far from each other, we are still communicating through phone calls, emails and Facebook.

The other night was my last birth shift. It seemed like the patients wants to say goodbye to me, so they all came in my shift. We had a very long night shift. There were 2 babies born, the other one was transported to the hospital for Respiratory Distress. We also had complicated postpartum patients and we sutured 3 patients. That shift it seemed like it took forever. We got to rest hours of rest then back to work again and prepared for endorsement. I am so thankful that shifts will always end. I was able to sleep the following day.

The other day our family celebrated my father’s birthday to the province where I grew up. I was very excited to go there to see and reminiscing the place where I spend my childhood. I am also excited to see our relatives. The party went well. We ate very good food and we had a great time together. One thing that made my heart so sad was the place is not already the same as before. It is already very boring or lifeless. It is not improving. How I wish to see the place the way it was before.

Today is a very special day of my dearest friend. I have known her for 6 years already. She is one the best friends I have. Before she left for Canada, we always serenade her during her birthdays. I miss her a lot. We did so many crazy things together, deliver babies together, visiting patients together. Those were the days. I am so thankful that memories are forever. I wish that God will bless her life all more this year and the years to come. May her dreams come true.

I was so glad that I decided to join the dinner at my ex-boss house. I thought I will only see my friends and co-midwives that I worked with recently. To my surprise two of my good friends way back 9 years ago, were there. We were all excited to see each other. We really had fun and enjoyed the food. It was really fun talking about our funny experiences during those times.

Yesterday my ex-boss texted me invited me for a dinner at their house. She asked me if I can join with my c0-workers for the dinner. I was so excited to know that. I texted her back that I would love to come. It was already two weeks since I resigned from my work. I am so excited to see them again eventhough  I need to travel for 2 hours from my house.
