Today I went to the church. I found the sermon very interesting and it is really a practical one. The pastor talked about the the structuure of a family. It emphasized how important family is as a basic unit in the community. The parents are the authorities in the family over the children not reverse. The bible reminded us that parents should train up the child the he should go so when he is old he will not depart from it. Children should obey their parents for this the right thing to do.

In my field of practice as a nurse-midwife, I have been caring for pregnant women and delivering babies. I have seen many women who have problems like dis-aligned perineal structure and genital prolapse due to laceration from their previous deliveries that was not sutured or not carefully sutured. I had one patient who underwent vagina surgery and vaginal relaxation because it really bothers her after she delivered her first baby. After surgery it improved her health and quality of life. Many doctors who are experts on vaginal or bladder surgery like Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore. They are committed to help women through their gynenicology surgical care expertise.

I was reminded to have a quiet time with the Lord. In my heart I really wanted praise God and let Him be the first in my life. I sometimes failed Him but I am sure God is always willing to embrace me and forgive me. I should not forget that He is good and gracious and compassionate. I can’t imgaine myself without him. I will be so lost and my life would be meaningless.

A month before I resigned from my work as a nurse-midwife, there was an ambulance 911 came and brought a patient in our clinic who already gave birth. After everything was settled with the patient and the baby, there was a sudden passion in my heart. I wanted to work as EMT personnel saving lives in different scenario. I think it is so much fun and challenging. I am glad to know that National Paramedic Institute offers online EMT training. They offer courses for all the emergency cases that might happen. It is very fulfilling to be able to save lives.

It is very important to maintain our body weight especially when we are getting older. Being overweight in our 40’s and up lead us to the greater chance of the ever traitor heart disease compared to those of normal weight, even though our blood pressure and cholesterol are normal. Along with heart disease, kidney failure, diabetes, osteoporosis and cancer are some other serious diseases we are likely to have when we are overweight.

We cannot blame those people who are doing their best and spend money just to make them feel good and beautiful about themselves. The part of the body that really amazes me is the heart. It is beyond comprehension when we think about it’s priceless work. It is the only muscle that is constantly working even when we are asleep. As I was doing something in my computer, I heard the choir rehearsing the song entitled “Lead me Lord”. I don’t know but my tears just came out. I think I was carried away by the message of the song. It just happened that I my heart aches for something.  It is really true that I need the Lord’s guidance in my life. So many times I walk in my own way. Sometimes it is hard for me to surrender everything to him. It is very comforting to know that God never leave my side in all my days. He is always there to remind me when giving up seems easier. When I am down He is there to lift me up. When I need comfort He is always there with the promise that He is close to those who are broken hearted. There are things that happened that I don’t understand but I know there is a purpose in everything. It is just hard to embrace that but one thing I know for sure that God knows. He allowed things to happen for a reason and it is for the best of all of us. I am clinging to a hope that everything will turn out good in my life and the people I love.

I didn’t have any idea about blogging and everything before. All I knew was how to do emails, games and surfing. My sister was mentoring me about it and teach me how to earn from blogging. She is so kind and patient in bearing with me. She made me interested to express myself through it. She was the one who told me about payperpost. I found it so great. It is easy and it is user- friendly. I like the way the opportunities are being presented. It is fun and exciting to reserve those. One of the things I love is that I earn at the same time I enjoyed blogging. I made some new friends from it. I learned to express myself and it helps me polish more my writing abilities. It is a perfect timing because I just resigned from my work. I was worried as to where I could get financial support for my daily needs. The choir members are having a rehearsal at our house. The choir members are my mom, sisters, brother, aunts and cousins. They started less than a year now. It always amazes me how they can sing so well. There were trying and hard times along the way but God is so faithful for bringing them close together. It is our church ministry. The vision is to encourage the other churches through their songs and their unity. They already went to many churches. All were positive feedbacks. Churches were blessed. I hope and pray that God will continue to bless them.

Two days before I left the place where I work, there was a pregnant patient to was looking for me while I was busy packing up my things. Our guard got me. He had no idea who that patient was and so was I. At first I was somewhat irritated because I was busy and I already resigned from work. I was about to tell the guard that I don’t want to see anyone but suddenly a thought came into my mind what if it is very important or what if it would be our last meeting. It took me few minutes to come down stairs. To my surprise when the patient saw me her tears started coming out as she knew that I already resigned from work. I am not exaggerating but the patient was almost sobbing. She is pregnant with her 5th baby. She was my continuity. I cared for her during her prenatal check ups until delivery. I delivered her 4 babies. She wanted me to deliver her 5th baby but she understood the reason why I resigned. She was very dismayed but I encouraged her that there will be midiwives who will take good care of her. I was so touched. I just did not realized that I played a big part in my patients’ lives. I was so thankful that I went downstairs to see her. I can’t forgive myself if I didn’t. Sometimes in life we need to get out of our comfort zone just to meet other people. It will surprise us what awaits us.
