Today iss our off day. Lina and I slept the whole morning. Then we went to Vashi in the afternoon to shop and eat at our favourite place the “subway” and then we ate watermelon natural ice cream very yummy.!!! We went to hypercity to buy food. We went home and then we watched “waking up the dead”. We used to watched it very week. It is like CSI. We really like it.

I woke up around 10 am. I went to the guy’s house to help with the Kids club. I met Aishwarya. She is very beautiful 8 year old girl. She is very smart and speaks English very well. We had a wonderful time with the kids. We had games and bible story and new songs. It was fun but I was exhausted after. I went home and I slept about an hour before we will go and visit our station friends. But I did not go because I was not feeling well so I stayed home and I watched movies entitled “Provoked and Traffic Signal.” Those were nice movies. I love the “traffic signal because I met one of the casts in person. She is the mother of Aishwarya a little friend of mine.

We had our team worship and meeting for the week. After the meeting, my friend and I watched movies “Water” and “every child is special”. These movies are very good. I really like them. I really learned about life from it. Then after watching we went to our friend whose child is sick. We checked if he still has medicines left. While we were on our way there was a very pretty child who has bandage on her foot. She told us that her toe was cut because of accident. She followed us to our friend’s house. Then after a while the child’s grandma went to the house and asked for some help with the medication of her grand daughter. She showed us all the prescription. So my friend decided to help her and we went to the pharmacy and bought all the medications that were needed. My friend bought shoes for her also. She was very happy and had a perfect smile until we parted ways. We arrived home and had our dinner. At about 9pm we went to meet a new client who is pregnant for the first time. She happened to leave the neighborhood. We had a great time there. After she was checked we went home but we dropped by the store to buy ice cream and beet root.

We had our morning worship with an Indian family. Then after the worship we went to check our pregnant patient up. Then we went home. A new member of the team came from Hongkong so we planned to have a dinner in the restaurant. My friend was not able to come because the carpenter who repaired our door was not done yet. It was an awkward time but I survived.

We had our morning worship at the guy’s house. After the worship I stayed in there for the Kid’s club activities. We had a wonderful time. Those children were so amazing. Then after 2 hours I went home and took a nap for 35 minutes. Then we went out to visit our station friends. I brought with me my nail polish and I was polishing all the girls in the station. It was a great time.

We went out to do a 3 week check up on the patient that we delivered at home. But we dropped to our other patient first because we left our weighing scale there. Then we went to check the patient. The baby gained a lot of weight. Breastfeeding is very great. Then we went back to our other patient where we got the weighing scale to do prenatal check up on her. There was no problem. Then we went home. I took a nap while my friend and the other team prayed for Ahoi. Then we went to a TV station. A friend invited us to go there to see her workplace. She is a floor manager. It was a great place. We got to see every room in there where they do the shoots. Then we were able to watch a live show giving awards to the people who have great contributions to other people. We left before it was done because it was so late and we need to go back home which is two hours bus drive. It was a great experience though.

We went to a Municipal court to follow up the birth certificate of the station children with Emma but to no avail. It was just a waste of time. Then we just went home. Then I went to the guy’s house to help with the Kids club. We had a great time with the children. They are all smart. They all speak English. I taught them a new short chorus and they loved it. Then we let them paint and draw then we had some other games. It was fun. Then I went back home and took a nap.

My friend and I were making list for midwife, doula and home birth requirements. Then we watched the movie “Slumdog Millionaire”. A very nice movie two thumbs up movie. It was very interesting because I saw some of the places and situation in the movie. It is a movie that must be watched. Then we went to the guy’s house to meet two Indian believers. They were so nice and we had a good conversation. My friend and I ride in their car going to Bandra the place where our patient live. It was our first time to go at their house. It was a perfect place where we dropped because we found the house right across the street.

I woke up and read some books. Then I went back to sleep. I was not sleeping good last night because I was having an intermittent stomach ache that woken me up. I did not attend our team meeting. I just stayed home and rest and watch some movies. It was so great to have a break from every day activities.

We had our morning meeting. We planned to go to the concert but it was canceled because we just knew that it is very expensive. So went to visit our patient instead. Then we went to the big mall in vashi but to our dismay the train changed route. So we train another train. Then we met the guys in the mall. I really wanted to eat chicken. We bought chicken at KFC. Then we went to the hypercity to buy groceries. Then after dinner we went home and then we do prayer walk in the neighboring place in the guy’s house and the station.

We went to the hospital to have the two children of our station friends who have problems. The youngest one named Isha has ear infection and the other one named Nina has a UTI. It went well although we waited in line. They were given free medicines. Then we went home and after while we went to the guy’s house to make a DVD for their company at the same time we sterilized our birth set and suture set prepared if our patient will have her baby.

We went to the guy’s house to get the weighing scale. We weighed the children in the station. Then we had tea with our friends in the station. Then we went home but we went back to the station because we forget to weigh the other children. Then we went back home and I took a nap. I was very tired. Then after an hour we went to the guy’s house again for our weekly worship with an Indian family. After that we went to the hospital to see Dr. Veda to have a look with her proposed plan for her plan to renovate her birth place. We thought the plan is very good. She gave us some gauze and hemostat. She told me to consider working at her hospital. She wants to hire me but I told her that I need to think and pray about it. She is a very sweet doctor.

Today we cleaned the house. It took us all morning to clean. After cleaning up we went out to visit our station friends. We spent a quality time with them. The children were so cute. Then after awhile we went home and got ready for the wedding. We were invited to attend a wedding. We ride in a train to get their and then ride a rickshaw. The wedding did not start yet when we arrived. It started about an hour after. It was my first time to attend an Indian wedding. It was so fun and very different from the other weddings I attended to. They do not have rings for each other. The husband gave gold with black thing necklace. It is a sign that if the woman wearing it, she is already married. Then they do not kiss in the public. We had great fun. There many people. There were many beautiful women wearing their saris. We had a wonderful time.

We had our weekly meeting and worship. We are all taking notes on the things we needed to do for the week. After the meeting, my friend and I went to help Messy bean having trouble with breastfeeding. Then we went to Breach Candy to visit her patient that she helped during her birth at the hospital. The patient is doing well. I was glad to meet her and her family. Then we went back home and ate our dinner at the restaurant.

Today was a very long day. My friend and I were out for 12 hours. We started up the day meeting a client whom my friend delivered her baby. We brought the birth stool with us which for heavy because someone wants to rent it. Then we went to the La Leche League meeting. It was my first time to attend such organization. It was great. There were many moms with their babies in there and some pregnant women. It is all about breastfeeding the advantages and disadvantages, questions and problems encountered during breastfeeding. I learned many things in there.
After the meeting, we went to see a little boy in the station.  We encouraged the mother of that boy to bring the baby to the hospital due to severe malnutrition and seemed like dying. Then after eating we went to the station with Ahoi to meet the 2 orphanage staff and talked about the boy for adoption since his mother is so irresponsible and have been drinking alcohol. The child’s brother was already in the other orphanage. Then it was decided that the baby needed to be hospitalized and the orphanage staff brought the baby in there. My friend brought some pair of clothes for the boy that we dropped in a certain place called Nahim. We rode a double-dick bus. It was my first time. We sat on the second deck. It was so fun. Then we went to another place to visit and check up on a new client who is a 40 y.o pregnant with her first baby. It was so funny because the client said it is only a 5 minutes walk away from the station but it took us like 20 minutes walking. It was so hot and it is exhausting. Her husband and she were so sweet. They offered us an apple juice which I like so much and it was refreshing. We spent almost two hours there. Then we went home. We picked up my new pair of my new dress. We were so excited. I liked it very much. We had an Indian meal dinner prepared by our other friend. It was no nice of her.  The day was so exhausting but we were so glad that we accomplished many things that were planned.
