I had a patient the other night who was asking me why her nail polish was taken out before she had cesarian section. I told her that it is really needed for a reason. Nails will be observed if it will change in color like purplish it is called cyanosis meaning there is no enough oxygen circulating in the body and it needs prompt action. If the nails turn pale meaning the body’s blood volume is low needs attention too.
